In another remarkable Marc Community Resources success story, Elizabeth “Eden” Bledsoe came into the In Home Support program feeling, in her words, “very overwhelmed and depressed.” Eden said her home had begun to consume her. She had boxes lining the walls and you could barely walk through her home. When she did the enrollment she stated that she really wanted to make her house a home for her two daughters and grandson.
Since working with the In Home Support program she began slowly working through the items in her home. She was able to get her hallway completely cleared out, then her living room, kitchen and before she knew it she felt like it was home.
Eden says, “I lived here for three years and never hung even one picture up in my home, now I have pictures on the wall and it feels homey. I even put up my Christmas tree this year”
As Eden began to feel better in her home, she gained the confidence to look for a job and recently began employment at STAR working 25 hours a week.
