Job Summary:

Responsible for training, mentoring and development of skills and competencies of case managers and other clinical staff through design and delivery of Partners In Recovery training curriculum. Provides technical and administrative support to the Partners In Recovery training and staff development program. Supports the Chief Medical Officer in attaining the highest levels of quality and staff performance consistent with Partners In Recovery policies, certifying bodies, and regulatory, licensing, RBHA, CMS and other state established training standards (Case Management Plan). Provides time-limited mentoring for new Case Manager staff as needed. Actively seeks input from front-line staff to develop and enrich content of Partners In Recovery training and education programs.


Design and deliver Partners In Recovery training programs and curriculum for staff development and Partners In Recovery administrative policies and requirements. Responsible for planning, scheduling and delivery of monthly site based training programs, including coordination with Partners In Recovery partner agencies for specialized training topics.

Develops and implements training to support PIR ACT Teams in achieving high performance to fidelity.

Works with the medical/clinical leadership and campus administrators to perform data collection, and analysis of trends and findings of case file and fidelity reviews to determine problem areas and strategies for improved Integrated Care Team practice.

Works collaboratively with Clinical Coordinators and Clinical Directors at PIR campuses to identify, trend and plan training that addresses escalated issues and barriers for frontline staff, including clinical, procedural or interpretational assistance. Enhances training goals and content through incorporation of real-world scenarios based on feedback from frontline staff. Models hope and empowerment in all interactions.

Monitors compliance with state regulations for new hire and continuing education, including management of the PIR

training database, discipline based competencies and reporting process.

Provides enhanced training for Case Managers experiencing performance challenges.

Oversees scheduling and operations of campus-based Training Specialists.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: MA/MS/MBA in Social Services, Psychology, or related field.

Experience: A minimum of four (4) years post-degree experience in behavioral health and/or healthcare.

Experience and/or training in the functional areas as defined by the specific position within the unit (i.e. knowledge of managed care, mental health and substance abuse community resources and providers; good verbal/people skills; ability to function independently and as a team member; good organization, time management and communication skills. Familiarity with DSM IV or most current diagnostic edition.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Excel

Education: Licensed Behavioral Health Professional preferred.

Experience: Minimum one (1) year training experience preferred
