ADHS is Seeking Your Input

ADHSThe Bureau of Women’s and Children’s Health at the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) is in the process of developing the 2014 Application for the Maternal Child Health Block Grant, which funds a majority of our work, and we need your help. The Application describes how the Bureau addresses the needs, of Arizona’s women and children, including children with special health care needs, as identified in the 2010 Arizona Title V Maternal Child Health Needs Assessment. The 2013 Maternal & Child Health Services Title V Block Grant Narratives for Arizona provides an annual report which includes:

  • The State’s accomplishments during 2013
  • The relationship among priority needs, performance measures, and capacity and resources of the state program
  • Description and documentation of progress toward meeting performance measures and
  • The State’s plan for the coming year.

We would like to hear your ideas, comments or concerns about how we are doing, what is working well and thoughts or suggestions on how we might do better. The state priorities and performance measures related to children with special health care needs may be reviewed on pages 41 through 67 of the 2013 Narrative. Please send any comments directly to Dyanne Herrera at or complete our online survey at
