Marc Community Resources, Inc. is a private nonprofit corporation providing educational, therapeutic, rehabilitation and social services to children and adults with developmental and, physical disabilities and behavioral health challenges.
Marc Community Resources, Inc. provides opportunities for people to be actively involved in determining where and how they live, learn, work and play.
Since 1957, Marc Community Resources, Inc. has continued to evolve and reinvent itself to adapt to changes in the political, social and economic environments. Through all of these changes, we have remained committed to the principles defined by Marc’s original founding families.
We take great pride in being able to state, that as an organization, we represent yesterday’s values, today’s services and tomorrow’s vision. From a strategic perspective as we look to Marc Community Resources, Inc’s future, we know that we will again have to adapt to new and more complex challenges.
In January 2010, we were serving in excess of 6,000 people. This exceeded our projection of 5,000 by the year 2012. Today we serve in excess 8,000 people. This is an increase of more than 700% in the last 15 years. Marc Community Resources, Inc’s operating budget was expected to rise from $22.5 million to approximately $33 million by 2013. We have surpassed this projection with an operating budget of $35 million.
This growth has resulted in a substantial increase of our transportation fleet, significant increases in the number of employees and additional community living sites. These locations have had to evolve to serve people who are older and who have increased special needs.
As an agency that plans to continue to provide services for another 50 years, Marc Community Resources, Inc. has implemented the strategic process to build an appropriate management infrastructure that will be capable of leading the agency into the future. These actions will provide stability for our current and future clients. We remain committed to never forget that we exist to serve the needs of those with disabilities.
